Once Upon a Time...
...there was a goldsmith who loved fairy tales. Using classical stories as the premise for these one-off creations, Luke takes the fantastical and brings it to life. The two pieces created so far is the Money Spider and the Jack and the Beanstalk rings.
The Money Spider
It is believed that when a 'Money Spider' lands on you, it has come to spin you some new clothing, thus bringing you good financial fortune. There is a famous Old English saying: 'if you wish to live and thrive, let the spider run alive.' Made in palladium with hand-set diamonds around the bezel and with 100 1ct loose diamonds encased between the crystal rock and a slate of mother of pearl, it is difficult to imagine anything more heavenly than this glittering snow globe.
Jack and the Beanstalk
Based on the famous children's novel, Luke wanted to recreate the story of Jack and the Beanstalk narrative in a piece of jewellery. The ring incorporates all the main traits of the story as different sections. Made in yellow gold and palladium, the ring features gold and diamond eggs encased in the crystal rock set upon a mother of pearl disk, as the beanstalk weaves itself gracefully around your finger.
